Finally ! The best ’Gluten Free’ bread ever. This bread is a revelation. I buy the bread mix from Coles for $4.95. Not cheap compared to normal bread, but its cheaper compared to the Gluten Free bread I buy at speciality health stores. You only need to add dry yeast and water.
This bread is so good, that you can make sandwiches without having to toast it. It freezes really well, and topped with butter and honey whilst still warm is heavenly, just like real home baked bread is!!
Made by Springhills, you can watch a little video on how to make it on their website. You must follow the instructions on the pack to the letter and I’ve found it works a treat every time. It puffs up quite a lot in the oven, don’t be alarmed. There are a few tips on the website and its possible to buy online. They have quite a few other GF items that look like worth trying.
Even my bread loving Greek man (who has no issues with gluten), loves this bread…. now that is saying something !! My other favourite Gluten Free bread recipe that I used to make has now gone by the wayside as this one is superior. Its a little more effort but the result is worth it.
If you have found a better GF bread than this, please share. If you make it, let me know how you go and what you think.
